https://www.espressooutlet.net/turin-sd40-v2-single-dose-low-retention-grinder/
The Turin SK40 is a new stepless variation of the Turin SD40. It is a well-designed single-dose grinder that uses a tilted base and bellows to minimize retention. It is built with a sturdy aluminum body and features 40mm stainless steel conical burrs with 8 points (same as version 2 of the SD40). In contrast to other grinders within its price range, which often have higher levels of retention and plastic construction, this grinder has minimal retention and is mostly constructed with metal. We are proud to be the exclusive US importer of this product and believe it performs as well or better when compared to grinders like the Niche Zero, Breville Smart grinder, Ascaso grinders, Baratza conical grinders, Fellow grinders, and blade grinders.
It has stepless adjustment that allows for an infinite number of minute settings between the highest and lowest setting. Adjustment is made by turning an adjustment auger, that slowly turns the adjustment collar.
Comes with a wood lid, black metal hopper, black rubber bellows, and a metal dosing cup.
For those interested in the technical details, the grinder measures 6.75 inches in length, 3.75 inches in width, and 12.5 inches in height without the bellows. With the hopper, the height increases to 14 inches. It weighs 5.75 lbs and features a stainless steel dosing cup. The body and base are made of aluminum, with the hopper available in plastic or aluminum, and the bellows made of rubber. Color options for the body include white, black, and polished aluminum, with black or white bellows and polished aluminum, clear plastic, or black metal hoppers. Additionally, lids are available in wood, white, or black. The grinder runs on 110v and 60hz, with a 150-watt motor. The hopper can hold about 40 grams. During grinding the RPM is about 400 rpm. Without beans it is about 650 rpm.
The SK40 is a grinder that can be used for a range of coffee from espresso to French Press, but due to stepless adjustment, it is not as easy to switch between grind sizes when compared to the Turin SD40 V2.
Grinders are tested at the factory with coffee to ensure proper alignment, so there can be minimal signs of coffee in the burrs.

Turin SK40
I was looking for a grinder that could handle espresso and drip coffee. I saw a few reviews on this grinder and liked what I saw. It’s very low retention and stepless. The deciding factor was the disassembly video that you posted on YouTube. Very well put together and hopefully will last for years. I’ve been very happy with the grind I’ve been getting from it.

SK40
I'm very new to making espresso at home, but I can definitely say moving from my old kitchenaid Burr grinder to the SK40 allowed me to move from a pressurized basket that came with my bambino to an after market bottomless portafilter. The infinite adjustment on the sk40 has made it easy to dial in every coffee I’ve thrown at it. The grinder is compact on the counter and way more quiet than my old grinder that cost nearly twice as much. Overall I’m super happy with the purchase and I would highly recommend it to anyone getting into espresso at home. I can’t compare it to a more expensive system or a flat burr ground coffee, but with more than happy with the espresso I can make at this time especially for the price of this system!

SK40
This ginder is great value for a stepless conical grinder! Burr set makes great filter and espresso!

UPDATED: Great Value! I'm a Noob
My original review noted that I was experiencing stalling early on, which I now believe was due to the fact that I didn't give the burrs enough time to be seasoned. I haven't been experiencing stalling with a full dose anymore. Great grinder for the money. My espresso is much better now.

Turin SK40 Stepless Grinder
I love this grinder so far! Easy to dial and it has been very consistent with the shots I have pulled!

Amazing value grinder
First impressions: Wow, this feels well built with durable materials. Sound is pretty good, definitely not super quiet but is not loud at all. No issues with dosing 18g. Minimal retention, no more than 0.1g of retention through 10 shots. New adjustment knob is quite good. Definitely slow to adjust if you need it for different styles of coffee but not impractical. Overall, very happy with the grinder and looking forward to see the longevity and durability of it.

Very nicely constructed, experiencing some stalling
I JUST unboxed this grinder today, and have run a few doses through it so far. First, I will say that as the videos described, it's incredibly well made. Very heavy, and good looking too. My only issue so far is that twice now, I've experienced stalling when adding a whole 16g dose at once. Thankfully, all you have to do is press the reset button on the back of the grinder, but not ideal to not be able to grind a 16g dose all at once without a reset.
