My setup prior to buying this hand grinder was the breville barista express. I consider buying a $500 auto grinder, a $800, and $1,600. When I saw this hand grinder for $89, I thought if this is what they say it is, maybe upgrading is worth it to one of these expense auto grinders. The truth is, yes! I cannot believe the sweetest I am now getting in my espresso shots! I cannot believe how great my pour overs are! Some day when I’m bored, I’ll splurge on an expensive and beautiful auto grinder. Today, this H40 has shown I can wait and just enjoy the greatness of this grinder. I hope you have the same experience too!
If you don't mind a little manual labor then this is so worth the money. More than capable of grinding espresso or pourover.
TBH I wasnt expecting a lot for the price. I am totally blown away. Light roast take a little muscle to grind but my shots have been beautiful.
I never thought I'd buy a hand grinder since I love using my df64 and df83 but decided to give this a chance, and I'm glad I did! I've only just started using it but my first couple drinks have been tasting fantastic. I was able to get it dialed in very easily and haven't had any issues while using it. Instructions were clear and the build seems to be pretty solid. Best part is I get a free forearm workout every time! For the price, this is a very solid and capable hand grinder.
