The Gaggia Accademia super automatic espresso machine is a design masterpiece with technological advancements that make it one of the best super automatic machines available in the home espresso machine market. It is truly difficult to find a better machine in it’s class. It has a beautiful stainless steel front panel, a bright display, and a durable metal frame that embodies design aesthetics. The technological advancements are numerous, one of which includes one-touch programmable push button controls for milk outputs, hot water, and espresso. With literally a push of a button you can get a perfect beverage just the way you like it, whenever you want it. Simply select one of seven beverage choices (espresso, caffe, caffe lungo, cappuccino, latte, latte macchiato, and hot water).

Another great feature on this Gaggia Accademia is the innovative milk management system – the Accademia’s Cappuccino System. The fully detachable system has an external milk circuit and a heavy duty carafe. Since the system is detachable, it can be easily removed and stored in the refrigerator to keep any unused milk fresh. The machine will automatically froth milk, but if you so desire, you can still froth manually using an integrated steam wand (can also be used as a water dispenser).

The built in ceramic burr grinder grinds your coffee automatically, making a standalone grinder unnecessary. The seven grind settings on the grinder allow users to control grind size based on your immediate needs. The hopper is a flavor and aroma protecting, double lidded receptacle.

Cleaning and maintenance is almost effortless – it has a removable brew group, automated milk circuit cleaning, and descaling cycles - truly outstanding features. To prevent mineral and scale build up, the machine is equipped with a Mavea Water Filter.

Brew Group

With two heavy duty boilers and a 15 bar water pump, the Gaggia Accademia allows users to brew and froth with no wait time in between. The brew group is a detachable component that is connected to a height adjustable coffee dispenser. The 6.5 inch max height allows for the use of a variety of beverage container types.

Does Espresso Outlet sell used or refurbished Gaggia Accademia’s?

No. Used or refurbished espresso machines have a greater tendency of being problematic for customers. For that reason, we don’t sell refurbished equipment, with a few exceptions for returned items in very good condition.

Does Espresso Outlet ship Gaggia Accademia’s international?

We get a lot of visitors from around the world, from Canada to Ireland to Australia, who like our products but aren’t sure if we ship international. The good news is that we do! We just ask that customers make sure they get a machine that meet’s their country’s configuration requirements, for example voltage can be an issue. We don’t take responsibility for products that don’t work in other countries.

How does the Gaggia Accademia compare to similar espresso machines?

We have many customers who compare the Gaggia Accadema with other similar espresso machines on the market, including the Jura J9, the Saeco Exprelia Evo, the Saeco Xelsis, the Jura Impressa, and some Delonghi models. These are all good machines, and we encourage you to do your research, but we feel the features and benefits of the Gaggia Accademia espresso machine make it very competitive.

Returns Policy
We have a 60 day return policy (Starting November 24th, 2017) on espresso machines and grinders designed for home use (exceptions below). If you return within 30 days, you get a full refund minus shipping costs. If you return after 30 days, you get a store credit. Unlike our competitors – this is a 60 day trial period. Most competitors only allow 30 day returns if the product hasn’t been used. Many competitors will also charge expensive restocking fees if you read the fine print. The customer will receive a refund if the item is returned in like new condition, with all accessories that came with it, with all original, undamaged packaging, clean and packaged according to the specifications we provide. If the product is returned in this condition you will receive a full refund (or store credit if over 30 days) minus all shipping costs. We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee as outlined in our terms and conditions if the product is not returned as specified above.

There are the following exceptions to the 60 day return period: La Cimbali Junior Casa, Vesuvius by Ambient, Quick Mill Andreja Profiles, Vibiemme Double Domobar V4, Rocket R60, Rancilio Epoca, parts, accessories and all products listed under the commercial business section, here For these exceptions all sales are final. See our terms and conditions for additional details.

Free shipping with most orders - you must be located in the lower 48 continuous states and there is a minimum order amount of $29. An exception to this is commercial espresso machines and espresso machines that require shipment on a pallet via Less Than a Truckload. This is sometimes included free, but contact us for details.

In stock items that ship via UPS usually ship within 1 to 2 business days. Heavier products such as commercial espresso machines are shipped via freight truck strapped to a pallet and it generally takes 1 to 3 business days to benchtest and arrange shipment. Transit times depend on the distance being shipped, but this map provides a general idea of shipment times in business days for items shipped via UPS. Freight truck shipment usually takes 3 to 8 business days depending on distance.

IMPORTANT: Water quality is a very important aspect of your espresso machine longevity. Water that is too hard will cause limescale buildup, which is the number one reason for operating problems. Too pure water, such as ultra pure RO water or distilled water can cause the machine to overfill, since the water level probe needs some minerals in the water to detect water. Use softened water that is about 50ppm in hardness. More info

PLEASE NOTE: Most machines and grinders are inspected for damage after being shipped from overseas. This means most boxes will have signs of being opened even though they are brand new products. This is done to ensure that the equipment made the international shipment in good condition and working order.

COMMERCIAL EQUIPMENT NOTE: Most commercial equipment ships on a pallet and has to be bench tested prior to shipment. For this reason, commercial equipment usually ships out three to five business days after the order is received. Some commercial equipment is also special order and/or has limited availability, so please check with us prior to placing an order. Check terms and conditions page for terms relating to commercial equipment.
