ECM introduces the most affordable version of their professional line of espresso machines. The Germany Barista has many of the same higher-end attributes of the more expensive models with a few key differences noted below. For the price, high-end appearance, advanced features list and ability to produce a rich, delectable espresso, this machine is worth taking a look at.

The octagonal body of this beautiful machine is crafted from polished stainless steel with solid chrome-plated groups. This professional, expensive-looking unit is guaranteed to turn heads.

ECM has designed a grouphead with Faema E61 style group. The E61 grouphead with true pre-infusion requires a direct connect with water which this unit does not have. This unit operates differently in that its heat exchanging system functions off of a water reservoir, therefore pre-infusion can be operated with a lever that the user can control to passively pre-infuse the grinds.

The Germany Barista contains a 2.1 liter capacity, heavy stainless steel boiler which has the necessary construction to produce generous steam power with higher temperature stability. Steam pressure gauges are easily visualized at the front top of the unit.

ECM has equipped the Technika with a larger, more developed body as well as upgraded the portafilters and added joystick controls for the valves.

  • ECM Barista Rotary Vane Espresso Machine

Posted by Bill on 23rd Feb 2018

Joe Kolb is the reason I am so happy with my ECM Espresso Machine. He worked with me to find the perfect machine for my needs and that would fit under my low 15" cabinets, and his price was unbeatable. He gave me some nice free gifts and free shipping as well (awesome.!!). He answered all my many emails with a barrage of questions, always with perfect patience and sublime detailed answers. He brainstormed with me about grinders as well even though I did not buy one from him. He is a wealth of information especially for the layman's big leap into this whole new world of sophisticated coffee. It is a Hobby and an Art, and Joe is a maestro. Thanks so much............ I have done a lot of research on line and was debating between two ECM espresso machines. Using the on-line message I contacted Joe and received advice within minutes. The service, honesty and transparency reflect the small business attitude that cares about its customers. Nothing but a real pleasure to deal with! The machine came within two days (without having to sign up for a fee like other places!), and it is making Espressos just as good as the ones we had in Italy. I definitely recommend Espresso Outlet to anyone interested in purchasing prosumer and commercial machines.

Returns Policy
We have a 60 day return policy (Starting November 24th, 2017) on espresso machines and grinders designed for home use (exceptions below). If you return within 30 days, you get a full refund minus shipping costs. If you return after 30 days, you get a store credit. Unlike our competitors – this is a 60 day trial period. Most competitors only allow 30 day returns if the product hasn’t been used. Many competitors will also charge expensive restocking fees if you read the fine print. The customer will receive a refund if the item is returned in like new condition, with all accessories that came with it, with all original, undamaged packaging, clean and packaged according to the specifications we provide. If the product is returned in this condition you will receive a full refund (or store credit if over 30 days) minus all shipping costs. We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee as outlined in our terms and conditions if the product is not returned as specified above.

There are the following exceptions to the 60 day return period: La Cimbali Junior Casa, Vesuvius by Ambient, Quick Mill Andreja Profiles, Vibiemme Double Domobar V4, Rocket R60, Rancilio Epoca, parts, accessories and all products listed under the commercial business section, here For these exceptions all sales are final. See our terms and conditions for additional details.

Free shipping with most orders - you must be located in the lower 48 continuous states and there is a minimum order amount of $29. An exception to this is commercial espresso machines and espresso machines that require shipment on a pallet via Less Than a Truckload. This is sometimes included free, but contact us for details.

In stock items that ship via UPS usually ship within 1 to 2 business days. Heavier products such as commercial espresso machines are shipped via freight truck strapped to a pallet and it generally takes 1 to 3 business days to benchtest and arrange shipment. Transit times depend on the distance being shipped, but this map provides a general idea of shipment times in business days for items shipped via UPS. Freight truck shipment usually takes 3 to 8 business days depending on distance.

IMPORTANT: Water quality is a very important aspect of your espresso machine longevity. Water that is too hard will cause limescale buildup, which is the number one reason for operating problems. Too pure water, such as ultra pure RO water or distilled water can cause the machine to overfill, since the water level probe needs some minerals in the water to detect water. Use softened water that is about 50ppm in hardness. More info

PLEASE NOTE: Most machines and grinders are inspected for damage after being shipped from overseas. This means most boxes will have signs of being opened even though they are brand new products. This is done to ensure that the equipment made the international shipment in good condition and working order.

COMMERCIAL EQUIPMENT NOTE: Most commercial equipment ships on a pallet and has to be bench tested prior to shipment. For this reason, commercial equipment usually ships out three to five business days after the order is received. Some commercial equipment is also special order and/or has limited availability, so please check with us prior to placing an order. Check terms and conditions page for terms relating to commercial equipment.
