Key Features

  • 1.5 Liter Nickel Plated Copper Boiler
  • 3 Liter Water Reservoir
  • 58 mm Electrically Heated Grouphead
  • Dual Pressure Gauge

Design & Functions

At just 10 inches wide, The BZ10 by Bezzera is a compact, yet beautiful Italian-made semi-automatic machine that utilizes quality materials and high-end features for a superb brewing experience. With its stunning and eye-catching design, the body of the BZ10 is constructed out of polished, commercial-grade stainless steel and exudes elegance with its classic italian style.

The high-quality BZ10 grouphead, for which this model is named after, utilizes two electric heating elements as well as thermostat to ensure ultimate temperature stability. At 58mm, the grouphead element has a cup clearance of 3.6 inches between the the spout and drip tray.

Steam & Water Wands

Both the steam wand and the hot water wand have a joystick lever design and are multidirectional for versatility. The hot water wand has a maximum cup clearance of 4.25 inches, while the steam wand can accommodate almost any size frothing pitcher. For additional steaming power, the steam wand also features a 2 hole tip.

The BZ10 is equipped with NSF approved, nickel-plated copper, heat exchange boiler that allows for a 1.5 liter capacity. For ensured quality, the boiler is plated using an electrolytic method of application in order to meet official standards. The boiler pressure and temperature is monitored by an adjustable pressurestat regulator and is wired to automatically refill itself from the water reservoir. Additionally, this heat exchange style boiler allows the operator to brew and steam at the same time and has the ability to produce up to 20 oz of steam in one session with only 40 seconds of recovery time. For safety, the boiler is also equipped with a high limit switch that cuts off power at 266 degrees in order to prevent overheating.

Water Reservoir

The BZ10’s water reservoir sits atop a pressure plate with a microswitch that will actually deactivate the machine when the water levels are detected to be low, ensuring that the heating element will not burn out. With a 3 liter capacity, the reservoir is accessible from the top back of the machine and also comes with a in-line hose with particle filter.

Additional Features

The Bezzera BZ10 also comes equipped with a dual pressure gauge and a vibration pump rated at 15 bars with air release. There is also a pump overpressure valve, a vacuum breaker valve so the machine may be put on a timer, as well as a three way solenoid valve that disposes of any excess water by redirecting to the drip tray.

I wish I could buy it while ago.
However: the pressure release output was not engineered properly, it drizzles bottom of the coffee maker all over the place. The crutch to fix it, with which Bezzera came out with – is useless, I will probably have to work it out myself.
And you probably will need to hire a separate person to take care of every single spot of just evaporated drop of water, which are all over the espresso machine in every particular moment. Absolutely perfect stainless surface does not give you any other chance.
Anyway, nice job, Luca Bezzera! Next to the perfect! I wish everyone in this world would do as good job as you do!

IMPORTANT: Water quality is a very important aspect of your espresso machine longevity. Water that is too hard will cause limescale buildup, which is the number one reason for operating problems. Too pure water, such as ultra pure RO water or distilled water can cause the machine to overfill, since the water level probe needs some minerals in the water to detect water. Use softened water that is about 50ppm in hardness. More info

PLEASE NOTE: Most machines and grinders are inspected for damage after being shipped from overseas. This means most boxes will have signs of being opened even though they are brand new products. This is done to ensure that the equipment made the international shipment in good condition and working order.

COMMERCIAL EQUIPMENT NOTE: Most commercial equipment ships on a pallet and has to be bench tested prior to shipment. For this reason, commercial equipment usually ships out three to five business days after the order is received. Some commercial equipment is also special order and/or has limited availability, so please check with us prior to placing an order. Check terms and conditions page for terms relating to commercial equipment.
