The Alexa Leva is a manual lever home espresso machine that will delight enthusiastic coffee lovers with many of the features of the Pompei, Izzo’s best in class. It is a smaller, more home-friendly model of the Alex Duetto and the Pompei. Features include a stainless steel body, a double decker cup warming tray with steamer, a PID controller with adjustable display, direct plumbing, anti-burn stainless steel steam and hot water wands, a spring lever-action group and a 5 liter boiler.

This machine is a treat for the eyes. Constructed of gleaming stainless steel, this machine will elevate the class of any kitchen it is placed into and will accentuate other stainless steel appliances nicely. The group and lever system details are intricate and finely crafted.
DOUBLE DECKER CUP WARMING TRAY WITH STEAMER MECHANISM
A neat feature on the Alex Leva is its unique cup warming system. At the top of the machine is a double decker cup warming surface to accommodate more cups that can be activated with the orange lever that is located right next to the power switch. The orange lever triggers the machine to jet water onto the top of the machine which is then converted into steam. The extra cup deck does cause this machine to be tall (21.25”), so if users cannot fit it underneath cabinets the Leva can accommodate the standard Duetto tray, these trays have a height difference of 4.25 inches, decreasing the height from 21.25” to 17”.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL WITH ADJUSTABLE PID
The Leva is equipped with steam temperature control through the electronic PID (Proportional, Integral, Derivative) display. Users can adjust the temperature by using the up and down push buttons on either side of the control screen. The adjustable display is easily accessible on the front panel of the machine.
DIRECT WATER PLUMBING
This machine only runs on a direct waterline connection as it does not have a reservoir or a pump.
ANTI-BURN STAINLESS STEEL STEAM AND HOT WATER WANDS
Furnishing generous steam power is the stainless steel steam wand which is anti-burn to prevent scalding from contact. The hot water wand is also anti-burn. If you are interested in perfecting your latte art skills, this machine is very capable at developing microfoam as it utilizes dry steam. Both the steam and hot water wands can swivel and are controlled with personalized knobs.
LEVER-ACTION GROUP WITH PRE-INFUSION
The Leva is operated by utilizing a spring lever-action group to create the brew. The group is a very heavy duty 18kg and is a dipper group, pulling shots silently. This machine is able to maintain excellent temperature stability. The lever allows the user full manual control over the pressure of the extraction. To operate, pull down the lever for approximately 10 seconds to pre-infuse the grounds. Pre-infusion is the key to developing a flavorful, aromatic crema. Carefully pulling up on the lever begins the infusion.
STAINLESS STEEL DRIP TRAY
The stainless steel drip tray is able to hold up to 24 ounces of fluid and users can attach a hose to automatically drain if desired, which eliminates overflowing.
