Pasquini, a coffee manufacturer that has been producing machines for over 50 years, has introduced their replacement model for their extremely popular Livia 90—the Livia G4 Espresso Machine. Pasquini has delivered three variations of the Livia G4 to replace the Livia 90, a fully automatic with PID, semi-automatic with PID and semi-automatic. The Livia G4 semi-automatic with PID offers many wonderful new features including a PID system, an actively heated grouphead and a large stainless steel HX boiler. This machine offers great value for the advanced technology it delivers.
TRADITIONAL STAINLESS STEEL STYLE WITH EASY ACCESS TO INTERNAL COMPONENTS
The classic style of this machine is elegant and refined, built with high-end stainless steel and adorned with the sophisticated Pasquini logo. Accessing the internal elements for cleaning and maintenance only requires easy removal of the body.
PID SYSTEM FOR OPTIMAL TEMPERATURE CONTROL
A very attractive feature on this model is the PID system. The PID, or proportional-integral-derivative controller, system permits the user to control the temperature of the boiler. A digital panel located on the front panel makes it easy for the user to see the current temperatures and make the necessary adjustments using the “+” and “-“ buttons.
ON-AND-OFF SWITCH FOR SEMI-AUTOMATIC DOSING
To dose an espresso, simply push the on-and-off rocker switch located at the top of the machine to stop and start the extraction.
THERMOSTATICALLY CONTROLLED GROUPHEAD
A fantastic upgrade on this machine is that Pasquini has added a dedicated heating element to the grouphead, which ensures even and consistent temperature control as well as shorter brew time
HEAT EXCHANGING, STAINLESS STEEL BOILER
Heat exchanging technology is a must-have for many prosumers because it allows brewing and steaming functions to be operated simultaneously, saving time. It also allows the user to extract espressos continuously. Pasquini has integrated a 1.5L capacity stainless steel boiler to help prevent corrosion. There is an auto-refill feature that helps to prevent the boiler from overheating due to reduced water levels. The unit is also equipped with a safety cut-off breaker to automatically shut off the machine if temperatures are too high.
GENEROUS WATER RESERVOIR WITH LOW WATER SENSOR
The water tank on this machine is an impressive 92 ounces. The low water sensor is a mechanical pressure plate which can sense when water levels are too low, this will activate the powering off function of the machine to protect from motor damage.
JOYSTICK-CONTROLLED STEAM WAND AND HOT WATER VALVE
Both the steaming wand and hot water valve are operated using new joystick controls. The user can either lock the steam wand joystick in the upwards direction to deliver constant steam, or can bump downwards to provide bursts of steam. The hot water valve is similar, but the joystick does not have the ability to be locked for a continuous stream. Both the wand and hot water valve are on ball joints for increased range of motion abilities. The steam wand has a two-hole tip and is internally insulated to protect against burns.
COMMERCIAL, CHROME-PLATED, BRASS PORTAFILTER
Included with this machine is a commercial-grade, chrome-plated, 58mm brass portafilter. The brass material alongside the dedicated grouphead heating element help to provide temperature stability and even heat distribution to provide a more consistent and flavorful extraction.
TWO PASSIVE CUP WARMING TRAYS
This unit has the unique feature of offering two passive cup warming surfaces located on the top and on the front of the machine to hold more espresso cups.
