Overview Video from Our Supply Partner 1st Line Equipment

This machine is undoubtedly beautiful. It was built with meticulous Italian craftsmanship and is guaranteed to turn heads. Stainless steel build with a lovely satin finish creates a sensation of luxury. Designed with a modern flair, the word “Nota” on the rear panel of the machine is illuminated with an LED when the machine is powered on. Buyers can choose between 4 different side panels: white tempered glass, black tempered glass, stainless steel and special edition stainless steel.

The Nota is equipped with an E61 grouphead, which is the gold standard for choosy coffee devotees. With its thermosiphonic supply system and a massive 3 liter copper boiler, this machine maximizes on temperature stability and consistency, two key qualities in making the ideal espresso. The grouphead contains a lever that can be used for pre-infusion. The grouphead has been specially designed to be able to accommodate taller cups. Many espresso machines have a low grouphead that can only fit shot glasses or espresso cups, which means users must extract into a low cup and then transfer to a larger cup for other coffee beverages. For those that would like to extract into a shot glass or espresso mug, Orchestrale has included a convenient raised grate that can be placed on the drip tray under the grouphead to suit smaller cups.

Orchestrale has included an impressive 3 liter copper boiler in the heart of this unit. The large size is unmatched in units in this class of machines. The capacity of this boiler allows for optimized maintenance of temperature and intense steaming power.

The Nota has a 2.8 liter water reservoir which is conveniently located on the side of the machine. Many other espresso machines have the tank on the rear which is usually tucked under cabinets and difficult to access. A desirable feature on this unit is the option for in-line water connection which means no lugging tank in and out of the machine for emptying and refilling. A danger with tank-driven machines is accidentally running the motor on an empty tank which can cause irreversible damage to the heating element. Orchestrale has created a safeguard against this, a water sensor which will detect low water and alert users. The pilot light located on the front panel illuminates when the water level is low and alarms loudly if the tank is removed from the machine. The only way to stop the alarm is to turn the machine off or refill the tank.

Instead of the traditional dual gauge on many Italian espresso machines, Orchestrale has raised the bar by including two separate gauges. The gauge on the left side of the machine indicates steam pressure and is numbered 0-3 bar. The brew pressure on the right side of the machine is numbered 0-16 bar (the optimal pressure during extraction is 8-10 bar). Please note that an accurate reading can only be obtained during the extraction, the pressure readings at any other time are considered irrelevant.

The Nota comes standard with two wands, one for hot water and one for steam. Both are able to rotate easily in many directions and are controlled by twisting a knob. The wands are not insulated, but the advantage to this is the milk reaches temperature faster. Each wand is fitted with a rubber grip to prevent burns.
