 Product Description

To make the most consistent, top-notch espresso, one must have a top of the line grinder. Mazzer, the premier Italian grinder manufacturer recognized for producing the best grinders on the market, presents their Kony Grinder, a commercial machine capable of performing well in the rapid-paced, high-volume environment. Very similar to the Kony Grinder with electronic dosing, this unit differs in that it contains a dosing chamber which is useful in the high-volume environment where the barista always needs a ready available amount of consistent grinds ready to go for quick customer service. With all the necessary features for a top-of-the-line grinder (including stepless micro-metrical grinding adjustment, conical grinding burrs, adjustable dosing and automatic grinding cycle), this machine will not fail to produce a delectable brew.

The Kony’s convenient automatic grinding cycle ensures that the doser chamber is always full of ground coffee. The grinder is designed to automatically refill the coffee reservoir every 12 doses, saving time and efficiency and ensuring that only the freshest of beans are available to be dispensed.

This grinder is able to create grinds of all consistencies from fine espresso to French press. To make adjustments to grind size, the user needs only to turn the adjustment disk located underneath the hopper.

Located inside of the dosing chamber lies a doser capable of producing doses from 5.5 to 9 grams. The adjustment of dosing is similar in operation to the adjustments made on the grind size. The user needs only to remove the lid on the dosing chamber and rotate the knob to increase and decrease the dose. To dispense the grinds, simply place the portafilter beneath the dosing chamber and slide the dosing lever for how many doses you need (1 for single shot, 2 for a double, etc.). The correct dose of grinds will drop through the chute directly into the basket.

Like its siblings the Mazzer Kony Grinder Electronic and the Mazzer Robur, this model is also equipped with the ever-so desirable, heavy-duty 63 mm conical grinding burrs which are known to slice the beans with more consistency and precision. With a low RPM of 420-500, this unit is fully capable of minimizing heat production to lessen deviations to the taste of the roast. This grinder also boasts an internal cooling fan to ensure further reduction of heat produced from the motor unit.

As with other Mazzer models, this unit is constructed of only the most quality, durable materials. This unit is housed in heavy-duty aluminum and cased in stainless steel. It is an attractive addition next to any high-end espresso machine.

  1. We have confirmed that Mazzer tests EVERY grinder with coffee beans before it leaves their facility, but they are not always able to get every trace of coffee out of the grinders after testing. As a result, you may find coffee beans or grinds inside your grinder, or there may be grinds in the packaging when you unwrap it.
  2. When replacing Mazzer burrs, NEVER use a flathead screwdriver and hammer to wedge under the burrs for removal. This could badly damage your machine.

  4. As with all coffee grinders, it is very important to only change grind settings on Mazzer coffee grinders when the unit is powered 'on' and the burrs are in motion. If you do not do this, the burrs will 'gunk' up and require cleaning by you every time this occurs. Changing the grind settings when the burrs are not in motion will render the grinder to only produce very coarse grinds or no grinds at all. If this result occurs, this will be considered operator error for lack of following directions, and not be classified as a defective grinder. Mazzer grinders are considered commercial equipment for grinding coffee only and cannot be returned once used.
